I’m having fun with this!,
I’ve been using the Wild Game Innovations camera for a couple weeks now and it’s caught lots of small animals sneaking around my place: Fox, Coyotes, and Raccoons so far. I have it set it to only take pictures at night and it seems to start working about an hour before it gets dark, which is OK with me. I have the PIR sensitivity set on “high”, and it detects motion out to at least fifty feet. The IR flash is only good out to about thirty feet, though, so when a critter is too far away, all I get is the reflection of its’ eyes. For best results at night, the “target” needs to be at a distance no closer than 10′ and no further than 30′ to get a good photo; Too close and the image is washed out – Too far away and the image is very dark. It should be mentioned that the camera switches to black-and-white at night, but during daylight hours the photos are in living color. There seems to be a 1+/- second delay between detecting motion and the picture actually being taken, so a fast-moving animal can move out of the field of vision if it’s close to the camera. I’m sure it’s designed that way to minimize “nuisance” photos. The “shutter speed” is a little slow at night (maybe 1/15 sec.) so the animal must be standing completely still or the image will be blurred. I don’t consider either of these issues to be problems, though; I’m not trying to get National Geographic quality photos, just trying to find out what’s out there at night. Setup was straightforward. Overall, I’m very happy with the unit. I haven’t tried the video feature at night and will add an update if and when I do.

|Buy a moultrie,
Bought this camera thinking it was great how small it is and etc… What I found was VERY disappointing photos. I’ve been using it now for about 4 weeks, have not had a single photo that wasn’t blurred. This camera sucks! I’ve used moultrie cameras for years and always had good results, this thing not so much. I have photos of bucks,, i can tell it’s got something on it’s head, but can’t tell what.

|Great Trail Camera,
I have had this camera for a week now and it has met my expectations. I was using the default settings but I changed them to increase the delay between shots because I had 288 pictures the first 4 days. All 288 pictures had deer, squirrels, racoons, or birds in them. My last camera was too sensitive (on every setting) and I always had multiple pictures of nothing. The daytime shots are in full color with acceptable quality. The evening shots are in b&w with good quality. The IR flash reaches at least 50 ft. I can’t report on the battery life yet, but it was showing full after a week. I am very happy and would recommend this camera to anyone.
