I received the birding version of this camera as a gift and was really disappointed. I asked for it because it said it was a 4 MP camera. Well, when you get it, the box says it’s a 2 MP SENSOR that creates 4 MP images. All the camera is doing is blowing up images from a low resolution sensor. I can do that with any image on my computer. After reading this, I tested the unit in my house before exposing it to the elements, and I was extremely disappointed with the image quality. I gave this item 2 stars only because it’s cheap, though I should dock it that extra star for the false advertising.
This camera has extremely poor exposure control, especially with the flash. From 10 feet away, the flash washes out detail and creates a huge white spot with no detail at all.
Images are highly pixelated day and night. Don’t get this camera unless you really just need something cheap.

This trail cam was what I expected for the money…takes good pictures but seems flimsy compared to another bushnell cam i have used for years.

This camera is way too slow for a trail cam, animal has to stop and wait in front of it before the picture actually gets taken. By the time the sensor gets registered, the animal is long gone and you get a picture of nothing.
